Is it summer yet??

It has been so hot and muggy here. The last week has been like living in a sauna! And to just make things that much worse, my allergies have been kicking my ass!

So, not much writing today....just some pictures.....enjoy!

So....it's been a few days!

Well, I think I'm finally recuperated from this past weekend.  The Calhoun County Wood Festival was AWESOME this year!!

Of course, the fact that I think it was awesome may have something to do with the fact that my son and his band played on Friday night!!  THE ROCKED!!!  Everyone seemed to love them and they sold quite a few CD'S!!  I'm so proud of him!!

Good Old Calhoun County.....

Morning y'all!!

Well, the Calhoun County Wood Festival is officially in full swing!  Now "What does that mean?" some of you may be wondering.  Well, it means a lot of things, but mostly it means that the carnival is in town and if  you go down there you will see people you've not seen since last year, things you may not have wanted to see this year and still other things you hope you never see again!  LOL

But all in all it's a good time.

I went down there with Dave and Esther last night for a little while.  It was really enjoyable!

Esther and I got our pictures taken with a snake.....not the big one, because it weighs over 200 lbs and the people that own him say he's too big, but with the smaller one.  She is a beauty!!  And so lovable!!   I know, there are a bunch of you out there that say SNAKE???   LOVABLE???  But she is.  She loves to be held and petted, and she lets you know it!!

We played BINGO for quite a while. Dave and Esther BOTH called Bingo last night! Several times! NOT ME.....I couldn't win my way out of a paper sack!! But of course I have to act like an idiot!! LOL

There was music on the streets, and people everywhere! It's enjoyable. Tonight will be special to me, my son's band, THE WILL FREED BAND, will be performing! Of course I'm biased, but I think they are awesome!!

The year is half over already

It's really hot again today! It's already 82 degrees and the humidity is 61%. That makes the dew point at 67 degrees!! THAT IS RIDICULOUS!!! No wonder my grass is never dry enough to cut!

My baby Bitty went outside to go potty...sniffed around for a few minutes and wanted right back in. She doesn't do well with the heat.....I mean it's okay for a little while, but it really does her in after a bit, and she had already been outside several times running around and playing. When she came back in this time she got up on the chair and took a nap. She was so cute laying there that I just had to take a few pictures.

I swear she looks like road-kill!!

Well, I've got laundry to do, dishes to wash and floors to sweep......don't that sound like fun?? NOT!! But it has to be done and there's no one else to do it. Too bad the pups don't have opposable thumbs!!
